• Index Server Advance Query

  Where in asp.net and index server can I have results of searchs of 2 words.. like "air combat" and not get back "repair" results.. I know if you go to the Index Query form and opt for Advance search I get my single result... but how do you turn that on in asp.net or is that a flag I need to turn on in code? thanks mike

• DNN 03.01.01 install problems

  Web site still is not working after getting 4 tech support tickets created at IX webhosting. I finally got DBO access for my db user. I installed this DNN on my local 2k box and everything is fine, but when I go an FTP install and modify and rename release.config to web.config... I get this for log of my install.   I am still having this error when I do a fresh install of DB and DNN. I can't be the only one having this type of problem? I also tried this on my laptop and it worked.. I odd thing, I got DNN 3.0.12 working on my dev server and that worked 100%, then I did an upgrade to DNN 3.0.13, and was hit with the same error. Have been trying to get DNN 3.0.12 back working and now I am getting that error now. So both of my DNN 3.0.12 and 3.0.13 installs won't work.. It says in the install page that everything

  The only thing displayed on the web browser is An unhandled error has occurred. and the url now says http://localhost/Default.aspx?error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.&content=0 but I typed in http://localhost , I get the same response if I do http://localhost/dotnetnuke Any suggestions thanks

• DNN 3.0.13 after install error An unhandled error has occurred

  I already searched and didn't find anything that would help me, so leads me to post here. After 2nd clean install of DNN 3.0.13 and DB, I am still getting "An unhandled error has occurred." when I hit the site. The url is http://localhost/dotnetnuke/Default.aspx?error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.&content=0 Hitting http://localhost or http://localhost/dotnetnuke gets the same error. I don't have VS.NET, so I can't compile it here at work. Any suggestions would be great

  Ok, with your single install of DNN and multi portals on that singel install.. How are they getting their own email domain named account? For 1 account, I createa a domain that is a short version of the domain and then created the alias domain of the full name of the domain. So, I could create email address witht the short name. But, if I didn't want to do this.. like I think you are doing it, how are you getting those email domain address created for the other portals. thanks mjc

• IFrame issue/confusion

  I have a DNN 2.1.2 installation, that I placed a page with an IFrame. In that IFrame, I point the source to my admin site, which is a signon classic asp page. When you signon, it never lets you too. I am using sessions on the classic ASP signon page, but the sessions are not saving the data. I even switched to cookies and still the cookie data are not being saved. When I open another browser and manually go to the source URL and sign on it works.. and if I go back to the DNN site, using the same

• Hosted sites with HELM

  I currently have a couple of sites hosted that are using HELM as their webhosting control system. I wanted to do multi-homing, but was told by support staff that they can't do it. Then I thought if I created domain alias on the main domain that it would work, but HELM stopped me from doing that. Has anyone else got a work around this? I posted my question to HELM developers to see what are their suggestions. I just think it is silly to upload multi copies of DNN, when I only need 1 installed. thanks

• DYI: PA/Custom modules walk thru

  I am currently a classic ASP developer, been at it for 6 years. I know I am old school, but I would like to move into ASP.NET. I have installed DNN 2.1.2 and have made some skins, but now I want to create PA/custom modules. I have looked and haven't found any that were DNN 2.1.2 specific tutorials on how to write PA. Could any of the senior developers of DNN 2.1.2 take some time and write up instructions and make it avail for others like me that are lost. Give me an example of a drill down datagrid

  I am having problems with sending email thru tacticalsystems (TS), I created a trouble ticket and this is what I got back: "Windows Server 2003 does not support CDONTS. The interface for sending SMTP mail on IIS servers has been changed and is now called "CDOSYS". Done for performance reasons." So, with version DNN 1.0.10 are we using CDONTS or CDOSYS?
