Re: When compiling my code "... contains an invalid path"
By the way this error has nothing to do with Visual Web developer 2005 Express as I had Visual Web Developer 2008 Express installed when getting this error. Then I got the full version of Visual Studio 2008 and am still getting exactly the same problem.

Re: When compiling my code "... contains an invalid path"
I wish it worked but it didnt I still get the error message "C:\Program Files\UltraEdit\http:\localhost:4129\Default.aspx contains a invalid path" This gets displayed in UtraEdit too which is so weird. Why is it talking about UltraEdit upon startup why is it pointing in that direction I mean where should it point upon compiling code and and how can i change where my program is pointing too?

Re: When compiling my code "... contains an invalid path"
Clearly for some reason when i run any code it points to the wrong directory hence why its displaying a path that includes my UltraEdit path. Its very strange but how can you change where it points?

Re: When compiling my code "... contains an invalid path"
Hi I haven't even coded anything all it did was run an empty server and selected debugging just to test that it works and get the ball running. When I do that it gives the error so i am guessing it has nothing to do with code. Anyone ever heard of this?

When compiling my code "... contains an invalid path"
I am not sure what the problem is but every time I try to compile my code and select put debugging on as it starts the server it opens UltraEdit (my default editor) and displays this message. "C:\Program Files\UltraEdit\http:2723\WebSite3\Default.aspx contains an invalid path" Is it pointing somewhere its not supposed to or what? All I know is I cannot actually launch what i have coded into a browser. Help please :-)

Re: Publishing my web site and administrating it.
Thanks for your help. Yes i want other users to access my application (web site). We have a server here at work and various people from this building or other branches want to access it via there web browser. So basically i want to know how i can set this up? Would you be able to tell me why when i create a new web site in Visual Studio 2005 it puts all my source code in the VisualStudio2005/Websites directory as opposed to wwwroot folder? What is the difference? Thanks in advance...

Publishing my web site and administrating it.
I finally have finished my web site and since its only being used here im my office all i want to do is publish it (if publish is the correct word to use when i want other people to access it through a web browser from a remote machine) so that i can run the code on a machine here and have a few users access it via a web browser. A few points to note here is that i am using Visual Studio 2005 and by default when creating a web site Visual Studio creates the project in My documents under Visual Studio

C# and Unix Please help!!!
Hi I need to write a .Net application (C#) that connects to a unix server and is able to kick of processes and send unix commands to that unix server. For example say i want to execute Unix commands i.e. ps -ef, ls -ltr etc from my web app and they get sent to a Unix server then executed and the response gets sent back to me where i will then display in and ASP page. How can i do this in a secure manner? Are there any API's that have already been written or is there a simple way of coding this? Any
