Re: 'multiple definitions and identical signatures' in a designer.vb file
That's what we did when we had these types of errors before, but this time there isn't a MyXSD.vb file, just the MyXSD.designer.vb (and the .xsc and .xss files).

'multiple definitions and identical signatures' in a designer.vb file
We're trying to migrate our xsd files so I added a new Dataset to the App_Code folder. It generated a designer.vb file and when I try to build the project I get the following error: 'Public Sub New()' has multiple definitions with identical signatures. The only solution I've seen posted is to remove the multiple definitions, but which ones? and why is it generating them in the first place?

Re: Clarification about Generated Code and App_Code
OK, thanks, for some reason the app_code folder wasn't created in our migration. We've started moving things into Class Libraries, and that seems to be working.

Re: Clarification about Generated Code and App_Code
Thanks for your response. And you're right, it is a Web App. More questions about the App_code folder.... Is it called 'app_code'? I read something about specifying names in the web.config file, but it looked like that was just if you wanted multiple folders (or subdirectories) to put your common classes. I don't see anything called app_code in our project, not in VS2005 and not in the physical directory on my local machine where I have my working copy. Maybe if I recreated the classes

Clarification about Generated Code and App_Code
We're upgrading from .Net 1.1 to 2.0 using VS2005 (SP1) and we're coding in VB. There are a couple of things that I'm unsure of. 1) .Net 2.0, Partial Classes (CodeBeside pages): In the designer file are the 'Protected WithEvents' declarations and any generated code. Should this include the following?: # Region " Web Form Designer Generated Code " 'This call is required by the Web Form Designer. <System.Diagnostics.DebuggerStepThrough()> Private Sub InitializeComponent
