Re: problems after upgrading from november release to january CTP and the official release
I was able to resolve this issue. I'm still not sure what I was missing, but I took my existing config file and overwrote it with the January CTP config file, then I merged my app specific entries in to that... it doesn't explain what I was missing originally, but obviously there was an entry in there that I didn't have.

Re: Version 1.0 doesn't work (only postbacks)
I am having the same issues that you are having. Were you able to resolve them yet? I updated my web.config file as spec'd. I was using the RC and everything was working fine. Since upgrading yesterday, asynchronous postbacks aren't working. On top of that, it only seems to hit the page load method and not the associated event handler for the control that is causing the postback... so my application is broken. I have a drop down list inside an update panel. THe drop down is supposed to cause an async

problems after upgrading from november release to january CTP and the official release
Hi All. I just upgraded from the November release CTP and RC to the offical release and January CTP. Since then, the update panel is not working properly. I have a drop down menu that is supposed to invoke the update panel and cause a partial postback, but it's not. Instead, what I see happening is the page load method is getting invoked, but the event handler for the drop down is not getting executed and it's causing a full screen refresh. Does anyone have any idea as far as what I might be doing

Update Progress Only displays once since upgrading to November release (CTP)
Hi All. I just upgraded (yesterday) to the November release. I uninstalled previous versions of extensions and ctp and installed the latest. After working through most minor issues that came up I still have yet to resolve this one. I have an update progress that worked fine using the previous ctp (I think it was the July version) but doesn't work so well since the upgrade. Problem Description: I get to my page, invoke an asynch postback, the updateprogress gets displayed and the update panel is updated

Re: UpdateProgress control is missing in Beta 2 release
I just updated to the november release and now my update progress only displays my progress image once (on the first asynch postback). All subsequent asynch postbacks invoked in the same exact way doesn't display my updateprogress. I have no idea why. It worked completely fine before upgrading. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help and/or insight would be greatly appreciated. Below is my code: <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upnlVehiclePrice" runat="server" UpdateMode="conditional" > <Triggers>

Re: UpdateProgress
Same issue here with update progress only displaying the first time: I have my "DisplayAfter" attribute value set to 0. I just updated my ctp this morning to use the November release. Since then the updateprogress image that I use only displays the first time. Prior to this update, the image displayed everytime I did an asynchronous postback from the update panel that the update progress tag resides in. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? Here's what my code looks like: Thanks in advance

Re: Webpart Error - Script controls may not be registered before PreRender
Thanks to Dani and Luis. I appreciate both your feedback with this. I'm going to update my ctp to use the november release and see if that resolves the issue. Thanks again! Very much appreciated :)

Re: Webpart Error - Script controls may not be registered before PreRender
Hi Luis. I'm sort of new to the .NET world and I followed the entire thread regarding this error but I'm still unsure about what to do to correct it. I don't explicitly call the OnInit method. Should I? The other suggestion someone wrote was to flush out the GAC. Does that mean I should delete all mentions of the Microsoft.Web.Preview.dll file in the GAC? If you could provide details that would be great. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Re: Webpart Error - Script controls may not be registered before PreRender
Thanks for your help. I did check the dll, GAC, and the temp asp.net folder... all checked out fine which is even more perplexing. Nonetheless, I appreciate the suggestion.

Re: Webpart Error - Script controls may not be registered before PreRender
Hi All. I am getting the same type of error but it happens when using the UpdateProgress tag. I am using ASP.NET Ajax version 1.0.61025. I have the same versions installed on my local machine and on our company's dev box. When I run it on my local box, it works fine, when I publish to our dev box, it blows up with this error. After I remove the updateProgress tag it works fine. Can anyone offer a solution to this? Code causing the error: <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upnlVehiclePrice" runat="server" UpdateMode
