  Having the same problem.. anyone have any idea what would cause it.. In my situation I am using an updatepanel in a masterpage, and inside that I have a control createaccount, that has a panel in it which I have assigned to the modal popup extender, which sits in the masterpage it works fine, but after I trigger a postback manually, and re-show the panel, I get that error! Its strange cause if I don't call the mpecreateaccount.show() method it works fine, I only seem to get it after i call mpecreateaccount

  In the article look under the section "Implementing Dispose". It dynamically adds an expando named "dispose" to the DOM element that points to a JavaScript function. There are two reasons you can't set the expando declaratively: 1. It's not valid XHTML, and 2. The value would be a string literal instead of an actual function.   MorningZ, You know the weird thing, I debugged with fiddler and JIT Debugger and no error comes up, it just doesn't work without those changes :S

  luisevalencia, Just in case you still hadn't fixed your problem, I worked it out, you need to make sure you have added: using Microsoft.Web.Script.Services; to the top of your webservice, additionally you need to add: [ScriptService] just above the class declaration, this is a change from beta 1 as far as I can tell cause my web services worked perfectly in beta 1 too :) Adding both of these things to my webservice made everything start working properly again :) Hope this helps, please reply if it

  Hi adface, Thanks so much for the response, I tried what you said, and put each control in the each panel in a seperate validationgroup and then set the button that causes the validation to the same validation group for each panel, strangely the postbacks are still firing, is there something I need to do in the code behind to get this to work properly, any help or examples would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks again!!

  Thanks eilon I appreciate the feedback, but can you please give me an example in code of what you mean? By expando do you mean, <element dispose="dispose" /> and if so how does one implement this, a simple example would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance, kind regards, infin.

• Validation Query

  Hi all, I'm currently in the process of making a web app, I'm using multiple panels with validation elements for each panel and I've been having some problems with validation events firing on hidden panels, and causing the postback not to fire on the current panel i'm working in, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to make validation events on elements only apply to the panel they are contained in and if so can someone please give me an example? thanks in advance, Sean.
