Re: syntax error running sql scripts
It'd be great if you could post the entire error message! Also post the steps you're taking up to the point of the error. Thanks.

Re: Need Help Step by Step ASAP
Thank you for your reply. That's what I endedup doing before I saw your post. I deleted the .mdf database from the App_Data folder, created a new database from the Server Explorer, ran the scripts and modified the web.config file. Ran the aspnet_regsql.exe with the /W switch on the database and everything ran fine. A far cry from the Welcome notes! Someone should clarify this stuff... The aspnetdb.mdf was automagically created in the App_Data folder. Who made that?! Where did it come from? As

Re: Need Help Step by Step ASAP
I just installed this kit as well and the instructions state that it is ready to run... but I get this SQL error: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified) How is this ready to run out-of-the-box?
