DataGrid ... OnRowEditing
I have a datagrid displaying some information. Its basically a persons name, and a CheckBox for that name. When the user clicks Edit to edit that row I would like to do some logic to determine whether that CheckBox should be editable, and adjust its Enabled property appropriately. I have spent about two hours trying to figure this out, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

usercontrols showing as "Untitled" when added.
We are using WebParts and UserControls to customise the front page of our site. Now what we have is a page with two UpdatePanel's ... one has the controls to add new controls etc, and the other is the page content with three WebPartZone's. When the page was not ajax'd everything worked fine, but now when we add new controls they have "Untitled" in their title until another control is added or the page is refreshed. I would really prefer that this did not happen. Is there any

Manually triggering .net function with javascript
I have some html code which needs to trigger an asp.net (c#) function when something is clicked. I know this is done with some built in (asp.net) javascript functions, and I have read a lot of examples on the internet about how to do it, but none of them make enough sense to me that I can actually do it. Could someone please explain it to me?

Re: Cannot create database diagram while not connected to domain.
The problem is not with linq, it is with creating the database diagram. I mentioned linq just to indicate that not creating database diagrams makes working with linq much more difficult.

Re: Visual Studio 2008 performance issues
What was performance like before applying the hotfixes? Did you only install the ones through windows update? Do windows forms applications also take a long time to load?

Cannot create database diagram while not connected to domain.
I am working on a project using LINQ to SQL ... the laptop I am working on is connected to a domain for authentication. When I am not connected to the domain via LAN or VPN I am unable to create a Database Diagram for my database table relationships because of permission restrictions? This is a pain because I want to set up my table relationships and bring them into a DBML diagram. Is there a way around this or something I should know? Any help is appreciated, thank you :)

creating a simple task list
I am trying to create a basic task list which updates in the database when the checkbox is toggled. I am a little stumped because all the .NET controls which show all records in a dataview do not allow template editing, and the FormView (which only shows one record at a time) does not work when you set a checkbox to be databound... Is there a way to do this easily? Any input is appreciated. Thank you :)

Re: Calendar Control rendered not working properly
PLBlum, Thank you for that information.... I have recently taken on a project which requires a timeline type effect and I couldnt figure out why my calendar wasnt working proprtly! This forum is the first I found and this topic is exactly what I was after. Although, you do need to place the control within <form runat=server> tags.
