Re: Invalid viewstate exception when using AntiForgeryToken
I host my site on Shared Hosting (GoDaddy) and was getting this same error when ever my application was recycled (when I made .config changes or dll updates). The quick solution was to delete my cookies for my site, the long term solution was to add the machine key to my web.config. You can read more here: How To Fix the: “Validation of viewstate MAC failed” Error (ASP.NET MVC)

Re: What does Google's new web browser (Chrome) mean to client-side web developers?

If the problem is also present in Safari, its pretty likely to be an issue with the forums. If its Chrome-only, its probably a problem with the javascript engine compatibility, since this site uses asp.net ajax a lot, it may not support some of its quirks (or features) correctly.
It's a font size issue. I doubt if it's a javascript problem.
It's a Webkit / KHTML issue, Safari does the same thing. Ever

Re: What does Google's new web browser (Chrome) mean to client-side web developers?
Yeah like we really need to do more testing with our sites!
Thankfully we don't! Chrome uses the same rendering engine (Webkit) as Safari. Webkit is even more standards compliant than FF. - Adam Kahtava [ http://adam.kahtava.com ]

Re: I have reported my first Google chrome bug - its about asp.net forums
The bug you reported is not a Chrome bug, it's a CSS issue with this site. All browsers using the WebKit / KHTML rendering engine display this behavior. Safari for Windows does the same thing. - Adam Kahtava [ http://adam.kahtava.com ]

Re: What does Google's new web browser (Chrome) mean to client-side web developers?
If you poke around in Chrome you'll notice it has a task manager for monitoring memory usage and controlling tabs, as well as a firebug like console. I agree the FF extensions are a compelling reason to stick with FF. - Adam Kahtava [ http://adam.kahtava.com ]

What does Google's new web browser (Chrome) mean to client-side web developers?
Google announced it's new web browser ( Chrome ) yesterday. This browser offers tab browsing with each tab running in a separate processes, increased performance, and more. Read more here: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/ Chrome like Safari and Konqueror is based on the Webkit / KHTML rendering engine. After a single day Chrome aparently has a 2% market share. Re: Anyone else disenchanted with the ASP.NET AJAX Framework?
I feel as though we're unproductively disagreeing, let's cite this as a development culture mismatch. Let's <cliche> agree to disagree </cliche>. I've not been bound by the complexities you speak of, but you evidently have. A nice coherent example would be great, but we can probably swap stories offline. - Adam Kahtava [ http://adam.kahtava.com ]

Re: Anyone else disenchanted with the ASP.NET AJAX Framework?
The scenarios are vastly different. ... however. Same deal here.
I'm not connecting your argument, I'm talking about the presentation layer, the UI / some AJAX / JavaScript / CSS. Well architected solutions separate (layer) the application's concerns. Choosing a repository or server-side language should have little dependency on your presentation layer or AJAX library. It's great to hear that ASP.NET AJAX meets your needs. - Adam Kahtava [ http
