Re: VWD -> VS 2005 pulls from vwdwebcache/ dir??
Owen, Im not having problems with the web cache, I just dont want to use it. Sometimes I will edit a file in VS and Dreamweaver at the same time on the dev server. With the files stored in the local cache, I really cant do that. Is there a way to force VS 2005 not to use the web cache and edit the files where they reside?

Re: VWD -> VS 2005 pulls from vwdwebcache/ dir??
Of course its better than not using an editor. Yet, Microsoft doesnt seem to understand our needs. Everytime they release a new version, everything has changed. They change things just so that we have to start learning everything again, buy new books, waste more time on message boards. They should allow us to make our own decisions and not force us to do things they way they think is best. Microsoft treats us like children! The VS Web Cache is a stupid idea, especially if you cant turn it off. I

Re: VWD -> VS 2005 pulls from vwdwebcache/ dir??
I hate Microsoft! Whatever perfromance you think we are gaining by using the stupid cache, we lose in productivity by hnot knowing where our files are. Microsft should let the developers decide where the files should be. Sometimes I like to edit files in both Dreamweaver and VS 2005, and now I cant. This VS 2005 is one big piece of crap!

Re: VS2005 handling of #INCLUDE (SSI) within ASP.NET WEB server
Jeff, Im using this <!-- #include virtual="/myfile.inc" --> in an .aspx page. It is hosted on IIS 5 / 2000 and displays correctly. When I try to debug that same .aspx page, I press play, then I get the error: Failed to map the path '/myfile.inc' This does not allow me to debug the page. Im coding at my workstation, with the files opened from the server. The files run from the IIS server. I've looked all over the web for a solution, but most people are lost.

Re: Include Files No Longer Working Right In 2005
I'm having the same problem with include tags in ASP. Why does VS 2005 care about include tags? I am running on IIS 5.1 in a virtual directory.
