• Need help on Excel odbc to generate excel reports!

  Hi all, I would like to know which is the best option to generate excel reports ? Either COM interop or odbc ? Which one is better? And I'd like to know whether odbc excel driver supports the cell formatting ( like font bold, inserting formulas, etc ) when generating excel files. Any help is very much appreciated. -Julia

  plz ignore my previous post. Problem is sloved. I did the same procedure and somehow it's working now. I don't know what's the problem was though.

• Need help in deploying asp.net custom web part into Sharepoint 2007 !!!!

  I'm not able to see my asp.net custom web part that is deployed in the bin directory of the sharepoint site. I'm following the guidlines in this article http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms415817.aspx I'm using ASP.Net 2.0 and Sharepoint 2007. I compiled the assebly with strong name and also added in the SafeControl list in the web.config file of the sharepoint site. And the custom web part that I've deployed into sharepoint is not listed in the News web part page. Does anybody

  hey..i've to repeat it again. I'm using asp.net 1.1. Not asp.net 2.0 So I don't have the chance to use those classess or attributes that u describe. :(

  Yes..when i enter the following url in the browser , it's working fine. http://localhost/TimeLogging/TLS/Services/TLSServices.asmx/myBooleanTest?myid=1 Only got problem when i called from javascript :(

  When I traced my js code, objxmlhttp.status is 500 ( Internal Server Error ) when calling webservice with parameter from javascript. Any clue????

  I can now run the webservice by entering the full url+/methodName?paraName=paraValue in browser. but when i called that web service from javascript, it's not working. Can anybody help ???
