security in publically exposed web services
Hi All ! I'm implementing a web services which will be deployed and accessible publically. I need to implement security for this web services. For this while calling any method user has to provide AccessId and password. Here I want to encrypt password at client side and decrypt at server side For this which approach should I Follow? remember that If I provide a encryption function in web service then its a security flow,as plain text will be passed to this encrypt function over transmission lines
