Re: Install AJAX, using AJAX in existing ASP.NET page
could be something wrong with web.config check the web config that comes with Beta 2, make sure it is in proper hierarchy in the config file. also make sure the Microsoft.Web.Extensions.dll, Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design.dll (and if required, Microsoft.Web.Preview.dll and AjaxControlToolkit.dll too) is in the bin folder for the "existing project"

Re: New Toolkit for Beta 2 On Codeplex - Issue: No Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design
fari enough, i am not sure why it does not install the Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design.dll when using msiexec installer, but i will gladly provide more info if it helps. the machine that we installed Atlas dll file to is: windows xp pro sp1 (this is a corporate machine and we have issues installing service pack 2(something to do with Standard Operating Environment error), this is why we cannot use VWD Express) .Net Framework 2.0 the Event viewer showed a bunch of MSI installer events such as Product

Re: New Toolkit for Beta 2 On Codeplex - Issue: No Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design
jodywbcb: ravescar: same problem, i do not use VS here at all and there is no Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design.dll in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions\v1.0.61025 at all after installed beta 2 from Is c: your boot partition of the system? If you are running a dual boot system it will be in the boot drives program files. The installer does drop the bits down unless there is a error with the install... in which case there should be something in your Event Log under Applications

Re: New Toolkit for Beta 2 On Codeplex - Issue: No Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design
never mind, i fixed the problem by manually extract the Microsoft.Web.Extensions.Design.dll using a tool from this link http://blogs.pingpoet.com/overflow/archive/2005/11/16/14995.aspx then dump the dll file into /bin directory for the web application, work like a charm.
