• How to share a vb Class for 3+ web applications?

  I have three different web applications that I made in VS08 vb.net. Each application uses a class that i continue to update (MyClass.vb), other than using Vault to propogate changes, is it possible to create a class or dll and put it out on the webserver and have each web app call that class or dll? This may be common practice or easily done, but i'm still new and learning so any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  Found the solution. These errors were the result of a locked/single user database mode on SQL. I believe this happened when I attempted to install the Vault Server updated and canceled out. With the help of SourceGear (great support), restarting SQL Service fixed issues.

• asp.net/Ajax page timeout settings

  I have a page that loops through rows in a datatable, and in the loop, I execute a sql cmd to insert the dt into SQL. The challenge that i'm having is when the loop runs long, (2000+ rows) the loading panel (using telerik) fails and not all rows are inserted into sql. 1 - Is there a way to change the timeout settings for a webpage that will allow the page to continue processing over a period of time? OR 2 - Would it be more efficient to create a TEMP table in SQL and have sql insert the data

  Did anyone ever find the solution to this? I'm using SourceGear Vault version 4.1.3 (18336) and have *.tmp files added to my working solution as well as Vault. I had Vault working for about 8 months, great, then I tried setting up Shadow Folders and my world fell apart. I have removed the folders, but I keep getting these *.tmp files as well as challenges checking out and in files. Specifically, error reads when checking out a file: Item $/folder/solution/~lkajsdlfkjas2304.TMP caused the transaction

I'm using SourceGear Vault version 4.1.3 (18336) and have *.tmp files added to my working solution as well as Vault. Vault was working great for about 8 months, then I had the great idea to setup Shadow Folders and my world fell apart. I have removed the shadowed folder, but I now have *.tmp files creating in my working folder solution and multiple errors when checking files in and

  This option only works when the user right clicks the page to "Save Target As". I have the document as a hyperlink pointed to the source and it still prompts with the Open Save options.

• Downloading a Word document and Deny saving back to server.

  I've uploaded some word and excel documents to a webserver and I don't want users to be able to save back to server. Currently the app works great, however when a user clicks "open" when downloading a file, they make their changes and click save, that's when the user/pw prompts which I DON"T WANT to show the user. (as you can see the security reasons). Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks
