Toolkit Gurus Help: How to have custom webcontrol use toolkit??
What is the recommended way to have a custom web control library (not ascx) to use the AJAX Control Toolkit? Ideally, everything (or as much as possible) should be self-contained within my webcontrol. Meaning I do not want to have an extra <%@ Register... %> for the toolkit within my web page. As a trial my webcontrol has a textbox and a button. I tried using a simple ConfirmButtonExtender to hook up to my button. I can not get this to work. I'm not going to bother posting what I have, because

How to access properties of Animation children settings?
Hi, I have defined an Animation sequence in my page. However I want to set the property of the Move animation through javascript on the client side. I manage to find a way to do it but it does not seem clean nor the proper way of doing it. I tried setting an id property on the Move animation node but that did not help. Any suggestions? < cc1 : AnimationExtender ID ="AnimationExtender1" runat ="server" TargetControlID ="LinkButton1"> < Animations > < OnClick > < Sequence >

Re: Invoking post back on page load (an easy question - but I couldn't find the answer!)
@BitShift: The problem might be that you moved the Loader control within the UpdatePanel?? I did that for another reason and I got exactly what you described. Here is the problem I'm facing: Yes the sample code that Matt provided does work, however, I want to move my Loader control into the UpdatePanel, so that the first it renders it does the AsyncPostback, and then on the second render it display the real control that I want to load. This avoid the need for triggers and everything in centralized

Re: How to GetPostBackEventReference in custom controls make partial updates
I too have this problem (but of course it is slightly different ). However cheloman, I think I know what your problem is with all my digging. You should explicitly set the ID of your <a> tag. I noticed that once you set the ID to an HTML tag and use the GetPostBackEventReference then Atlas picks it up properly as an AsyncPostback. BTW I a m using AJAX Extension Beta 2. Here is what your code should look like: oCell.InnerHtml = “ <a href="" mce_href=""#"" id=""" + this.ClientID + """ class

Re: BUG: UpdateProgress does not display when using AssociatedUpdatePanelID and Triggers
Thanks for the response. I would consider your example a workaround to the bug. In my example in the original post, clearly the UpdateProgress in associated to the UpdatePanel. Anything that causes the updatepanel to do an AsyncPostback should cause the UpdateProgress associated with it to display. My real page has 4 UpdatePanels, so now I will have to match each AsyncTrigger to each one of my 4 UpdateProgress (I wanted 4 seperate UpdateProgress on purpose). Hope this gets addressed in a future version

BUG: UpdateProgress does not display when using AssociatedUpdatePanelID and Triggers
When you have a simple UpdatePanel with a Trigger and UpdateProgress where AssociatedUpdatePanelID is specified, the UpdateProgress template does not appear at all. I am using Beta 2. Here is a simplified version: < form id ="form1" runat ="server"> < div > < asp : ScriptManager ID ="ScriptManager1" runat ="server"> </ asp : ScriptManager > < asp : UpdatePanel ID ="UpdatePanel1" UpdateMode ="Conditional" runat ="server"> < ContentTemplate > < asp : TextBox ID

Re: I have downloaded/installed everything AJAX, yet the video tutorials show ATLAS
Atlas was the codename for what is now known AJAX Extensions. So whenever you see Atlas replace in your mind AJAX Extensions. There are some pretty important changes in the AJAX Extensions compared to the Atlas CTP. That is why in the download page you can still download the Atlas CTP if you are not ready to migrate. Since you are starting off, I don't recommend this though. BTW, there is a migration guide that explains the changes from Atlas to AJAX Extensions on the home page: http://ajax.asp.net
