• Re: Add Admin page to club kit 1

At one time there was one at http://aspsksolutions.com/aspsk/DownLoads.aspx , but it doesn't appear to be available any more. I think that I still have my copy. If the author has no objections, I can provide you a copy.

  • Re: Events_Download and Time Zones
Hi typhoid. by chance are you using gDaddy? If so, are you able to add an event to your CSK event calendar? How did you do it. I am having medium trust levels with godaddy.
Sorry for the delay; I've been off-line for a bit. In answer to your questions, yes, I am using GoDaddy, and yes, I can add/delete/edit events in the calendar. Let me know if you are still having a problem and I'll see if I can help.

  • Re: VSI-File for CSK version 2

There is no vsi file for CSK version 2. Instead, it is released as a zip file. You simply create a new project folder then unzip the contents of the CSK 2.0 zip file into that folder. Before trying to run it, read the documentation for some configuration steps that you need to perform.

  • Re: Club Starter Kits

It works fine for me. However, I did *not* let VWD update my site to ASP.NET 3.5.

  • Re: Identified bugs and fixes for the ClubSite Starter kit
I have been sifting through the help topics and have not seen this so forgive me if I'm repeating a previous entry. I am brand new to this, and I have just installed the club site first edition. I am getting an error while trying to create my first user. It keeps kicking out an invalid password error telling me that a minimum of 7 digits and one has to be numeric. I assure you that I have been doing just that. The error keeps comming. Can anyone help? [/quote

  • Re: Mature version of the Club Starter Kit?

I'm still running 2 sites based on the original plus add-ons (the Document extension, Mark's forums, and aspsksolutions Club Web Admin) plus a bunch of personal modifications. Although I've been tempted to go to version 2, the effort of migrating all of my data over was too much to swallow. I don't know of anyone who has packaged up the original with all the bug fixes and extensions that have come out over the years. I've thought about packaging up what I have, but it includes

  • Re: PageNumberer

If I remember correctly, I found several issues with those stored procedures and ended up making some significant changes for my web site. I'm swamped right now with the aftermath of hurricane Ike, but I'll see if I can find some time this weekend to take a look at what I did and see if any of it might be useful to you - unless someone else jumps in first.

  • Re: Extending the Club Web Site Starter Kit

Yes, I implemented it plus cleaned it up some. The version in the article is a good starting point and teaching tool, but it's a little light on error handling. It didn't gracefully handle things like file names and comments that are too long or uploading a file with the same name twice. Those problems were easy enough to fix.

  • Re: Godaddy Issue - Multipe Sites

I don't have two club sites, but I do have a club site at the root and a second asp.net application (blogengine.net) in a subfolder on GoDaddy. Note that my account is a rather old one that is still on IIS 6.0. In my case, it only required two things to get the application in the subfolder working: First, in the hosting manager, go to Content, IIS Settings, and create the virtual directory. Check the "Anonymous Access" and "Set Application Root" checkboxes. Second, you need

  • Re: Has anyone been able to create a forum for the club website?

You can find a forum package designed for the original Club starter kit here: http://wonglepong.wgg.com/clubwebsite/ It's not as full-featured as YAF, but it was very easy to integrate into the Club starter kit.
