Re: FAQ and Known Issues
I didn't convert. I just started out with the wrong project type. Anyway I'll stick with it now because I have so many references that I don't want to spend a couple of hours doing it all again. Another thing is that Web Application will force me to be more structured in my development, which is good even though it's a time eater! lol

Writing setup code to the *.config file
Hi all! I'm rewriting a Data Access Layer Manager that requires some configuration to be written to the config file, you can also do it programmatically but I would like to offer a "zero" setup approach to beginners of the manager. The question is should I write a Visual Studio Project Template or should there be a class that writes the missing parts of the web.config or app.config file? I'm leaning towards the Template approach but the problem with that approach is that a developer

Detect wether my code is run as web or client
I all! I'm writing some code that can be used both in a web environment (ASP.NET) or client environment (Windows). While initiating my code I have to use either the WebConfigurationManager or ConfigurationManager class. How to I detect in which environment my code is running? Regards, Jon

Re: Serving JSON from ASP.NET
[ScriptService] [WebService(Namespace = "http://mapserv.utah.gov/")] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] public class UTSGID_GeoLocator : System.Web.Services.WebService is above my class I'm sorry but I thought you used the above attributes... I think your problem is that you don't have the () after the ScriptService attribute. Your webservice should look something like this: <%@ WebService Language="C#" Class=" UTSGID_GeoLocator "
