  Raymond, I'm having the same problem. The weirdest thing is my code (which is an edit code) is actually almost a complete copy-paste from the create page code, which works flawlessly. Of course, I've checked every Validation Group field, and they all are set correctly... Putting this outside an updatePanel is not an option, because this is the whole point of it... to have an ajax-enabled website.
