  • Re: When creating a new module no sqldataprovider created

Wow that's kinda harsh. Especially considering that the Starter Kit was changed and it no longer creates the SQL Module settings file. That is why it's not there anymore. The solution is to instead use the .dnn file that is created and use that instead . Thanks...this answers my quesiton. However, my response about thinking you were responding to the wrong post above was not an insult, nor was it harsh...I literally thought you meant to respond to a different post. I figured someone else had asked

  • Re: When creating a new module no sqldataprovider created

Some more details if it helps: 01.00.00.sqldataprovider is there, but TestMod.sqldataprovider is not. Book says run sql script for TestMod.sqldataprovider, then run script for 01.00.00.sqldataprovider. The script for 01.00.00.sqldataprovider runs; however, the script for TestMod.sqldataprovider cannot be run, because it does not exist. System notes: OS = Windows 2003 Server with Sp1. Hardware = Dell 3100 Pentium 4 with 2 gigabytes of memory. The system is part of a domain, but not a domain controller

  • Re: Images will not upload for site

Note that inserting images the "old fashioned" way works fine: Ie: just putting an <img src="pathtoimage" /> works fine. It is the gallery module that does not work.

  • When creating a new module no sqldataprovider created

I did the following: website --> add new item -->dotnetnuke module renamed .modulename to ... someModule, for example. Clicked add. Most of the "stuff" that I will need (according to the book I have) is then added, and I rename the module to someModule in AppCode and DeskTopModules, as per the instructions on the help page that pops up. However, in the DeskTopModules inside the new someModule directory, there is no someModule.sqldataprovider. What have I missed in creating this new module,

  • Images will not upload for site

This is on a system running IIS 6 on Windows server 2003, as a workstation in an Active Directory domain. This server is not the domain controller. When I go to upload an image in site settings, I am able to browse to the image and then click "upload image", and then save the site changes. However, when I go back to the home page, the image does not show up. This is for the site-wide image, which replace the default "dotnetnuke.gif" icon.

  • Re: Unable to load default.aspx page remotely

Thank you...fixed it right up. You are a gem among humans.* Yeah, I used to set up multiple websites by using host headers on IIS, but I've never worked with URL redirection before. There are different issues on the test machine at work, as well; the problems on the work machine appear to be clearly permissions/security related however. I'll ask about those issues...at a later time. *but still not a 1337 as Labrador Retrievers...

  • Re: Unable to load default.aspx page remotely

I knew I would get a response like this. Yes the framework is installed. Yes it is registered properly. Yes the page actually exists. The full error has been posted...what I wrote above is the full error. If I go to http://192.168.1.22/commercekit2/default.aspx, it works...no errors! This proves that asp.net 2.0 is working properly. If ASP was not installed correctly, this page would not work. However, if I go to http://192.168.1.22/dotnetnuke/default.aspx, I get the error described above: The page

  • Can load index.htm remotely and locally, and default.aspx locally, but not remotely.

I have posted this in the dotnetnuke forums, but I am posting here as well, to expose it to greater viewing. By remotely, I mean across the intranet, in this case. If I point a remove computer to 192.168.1.22/DotNetNuke/index.htm, this page loads flawlessly in the remote browser. This shows that permissions on IIS and network configuration is fine, or this page would not be served up. If I try to load 192.168.1.22/DotNetNuke/default.aspx however, I get the infamous "page cannot be displayed error
