  I added a ScriptManagerProxy to Products.aspx and I still get this error in ProductDetail.cs on the same line: The control with ID 'productUpdatePanel' requires a ScriptManager on the page. The ScriptManager must appear before any controls that need it. I even tried adding ScriptManagerProxy declaratively inside ProductDetail.cs and got the same error. Any other ideas? Thanks, Brad

  Having some issues getting an UpdatePanel to work inside a custom control in a master page scenario. I have a hunch it has something to do with page life cycles, but just can't seem to figure it out. Here is the relevant code sections: StandardLayout.Master 1 < body > 2 < form id= "form1" runat= "server" > 3 < asp:ScriptManager id= "scriptManager" runat= "server" EnablePartialRendering= "true" /> 4 5 < div runat= "server" id= "content" > 6 < asp:ContentPlaceHolder runat

  Here is how I ended up fixing it in my particular scenario: I moved the subdirectories out of the root web site and made a new web site just for these applications. They are for internal use only anyway and everything seems to work fine now. I suspect it could have worked the other way and after much debugging I think it came down to a permissions issue, but that's just a guess. Brad

  The root IIS web site is configured to run under one app pool, let's say, DefaultAppPool. When I try to load the Atlas page there everything works fine. Under that root, I have a virtual directory called CatalogWebService that runs under another app pool, let's say CatalogWebSvcAppPool. Whenever I try to load the same Atlas page there, I get the script error. Thanks, Brad

  I've seen many posts with this error, but no real solution. Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'Microsoft.Web.Services.ScriptModule'. (c:\web.config line 452) Funny enough, it works fine when loading a page in the root directory of the site (running under one app pool), but it's anything under a subdirectory that is causing the error (which is running under another app pool). Any ideas? Thanks, Brad
