Jquery or basic XmlHttpRequest for MVC
Hi Well Microsoft included Jquery officially @MVC.But still i am concerned whether to use it or not. JSON via AJAX is something i am looking for in my MVC application. I found Jquery and basic XmlHttpRequest script for the purpose.I know the easiness with dom manipulation is one aspect for Jquery. But still cannot find Why i need to chose and study Jquery instead of lite weight simple XmlHttpRequest using Javascript. I want to know which is the best practice i need to follow or is there any thing

Caching is the only option.But how can i cache the very best..read using datareader and put it into a datatable..compress the cache.. Thanks for replies

Avoid db call for each user control
hello For a page having say 5 user controls, calling same stored procedure - multiple table results. How can i avoid each user control calling sp's again.I dont have any dataset or other caching mech: or properties.. Thx

Render a custom row in datalist
hi i know this is a silly thing..but for me its not like that. Is it possible to render a single row differently against other rows using datalist.[Renders according to some value.] What i want is i need custom row itemtemplate for values. [not talking about custom control]

i dunno find any error. check this one http://examples.gohsphere.com/js_date.html i think sivakl_2001 soln is better than myself.. u can customize it for the year too,with just one line of code..

i believe visibility=hidden is DHTML CSS property..why u applied like so in JS.it works only in IE and Netscape. if ur looking for JS code.then just set the style attributes display:none;
