Want some work?
On occassion (recently more than an occassion) we need an asp.net 2.0 developer with SQL DB experience (these are the major skillsets, other skills are great!). We develop the front end while we contract out the backend development. At times we have more work than we can handle and at times we may have a project that will be very much "hurry up and wait" due to client needs. If you are a freelancer or someone who would like to take on some projects on a quote basis and are US-based, then

Visual studio 2005 and Windows Vista
Outside of developing .net 3.x apps and web apps, are there any issues with me running VS 2005 on Vista Business or Ultimate provided I install all the service packs and whatnot for VS?

Re: App_Data and web host
A hosting provider should be able to host whatever you want without adding more to the cost. We don't do that.

Re: What is the current going price for this quote?
In USD, I would probably go somewhere around $3,000. That's a ballpark.

Re: Is this right?
It partly depends on what the trend in your geographic area for the salary you're making. Yours is a tad higher than in our area. And as per working long hours, that's a debate with regards to being taken advantage of. However, if the work you're producing is average and is making average for the company, then you'll get average reward. But if you're kicking tail and bringing in oodles of money, I don't see any reason why you couldn't get a raise or perks or something
