Ok, where do you have the USPS files (dll's & exe only not the DB files). In my project its directly under bin folder along with other dll's & exe's of the project So I have the .system property as open_parm.config.system = ExecutionDirectory() + "bin\" before you call the z4opencfgstd execute setcurrentdirectory System.IO.Directory.SetCurrentDirectory(strDirectoryPath) USPSAPI.z4closeSTD() ret_code = USPSAPI.z4opencfgSTD(open_parm) its always nice to add z4closestd

Are you saying the USPS sample.exe is working fine for you and your .net code is not returning expected results? Are you able to run sample queries on sample.exe for some addresses and come back with result codes of 32 (multiple address match) and 31 (perfect match). if yes then sample.exe and registration are good. Let us know the state and we'll go forward

hmm..... you have everything right but something is not working the code you posted is big and combined. if you can send the code as a vb.net project or solution then I might be able to find the problem quickly and also fix it quickly if necessary. if you can't attach the .zip here send me as a message or email at the worst case

This is what I use. Try that and let me know if you still get the error ''' <summary> ''' Parameter list for z4geterror() ''' </summary> ''' <remarks>NOTE: Only fields containing +1 in the length are null terminated.</remarks> <StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential, CharSet:=CharSet.Ansi)> Public Class Z4_ERROR ''' <summary>Error Code </summary> Public iErrorCode As Integer ''' <summary>Error
I'm just starting my journey, thanks to everyone on this post as it has helped me tremendously. I haven't done this stuff since back in the vb6 days, so I'm learning all over again. I was curious if anyone has gotten the return code '1' (The USPS Address Matching System is not in sync) from the z4OpenCfgStd call and if so what solved the issue.
Hi ToddWolff, I didn't get the return code 1 but have received other codes I guess. I

Hi, I got the USPS ams app working completely on my local machine except with one problem I am able to get the application completely working on my local machine. I had encountered the following error this while working on my local machine but circumvented it by working on short paths. The issue is if the location for zip4_w32.dll goes big in terms of directory path the application throws the following error ExceptionInfo Message =" Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often

Type.GetType does not work in VB.NET but works in C#. VB.NET gurus Please help
Friends, I am an experienced C# programmer who is working on a VB.NET project now. I am writing different methods covering the following functionalities 1) Take a datareader as input and return an arraylist of class object 2) Take an xmlnode (received from a webservice) as input and return an arraylist of class object. The methods are generic methods which take datareader/xmlnode as first parameter and classname (string) as the second parameter. This way it will work trivially. The schema of class

Unable to read the HTML written by JavaScript on Server Side (Label)
I have big issue related to Text/HTML written by JavaScript on asp.net labels. The code-behind does not recognize it. I need to use Labels on aspx pages. The innerHTML needs to be assigned by client side Javascript. The problem is, the innerHTML assigned to Label is not available to codebehind (like Text property of Label). I had to use textboxes instead of Labels on those cases. Then I had issues with users typing junk values on those spots (which are supposed to be labels). I tried making the textbox
