Validation with a link button : Atlas Issue?
Hello! Im having problems getting forms validation (asp controls not the atlas ones) to work with link buttons in my altas app. When I click on the link button, validation fires, correctly flags the fields that did not validate but still posts back. If I use a normal button it works ok. I've seen a couple of threads where people have the same and atlas seems to be getting the blame, but no one seems to have a work around yet. Can anybody help? Cheers ~Brett

Re: Trouble getting LinkButton to validate.
I've been having the same problem. From what I can see its something to do with using atlas. I'm still looking for a solution... ~Brett

Re: Put the UpdateProgress into an AlwaysVisibleControl?
I'm Using April, perhaps it was fixed. The Javascript error was definately related to AlwaysVisibleControlExtender - once I removed that from my form the error message stops. Add it back = message returns ~Brett

Re: Put the UpdateProgress into an AlwaysVisibleControl?
Hi Jason, I hadto the same problem as you when I tried this last week, and ended up putting the AlwaysVisibleExtender in the ProgressTemplate. However I found that every few updates on the same page (4 or 5?) would pop a javascript message box saying "Unspecified Error". Everything else seems to work ok. I was wondering if you have the same problem? ~Brett

Re: Syntax error on atlas and authentication

Re: Frustrated with Atlas Client-Side Validation
Thanks for the link - Yeah, they seem pretty problematic. I'm just about ready to bin my code and use the ASP.Net CustomValidator instead. ~Brett

Frustrated with Atlas Client-Side Validation
Hello! I've spent the last 2 days trying to set up some "smart" client side validation. I have a form with some drop down lists on it. The selected value in the dropdown list controls which fields are getting validated. For example, if you select "Date" from the dropdown list txtDate becomes required and date validated and if you choose "Payment" txtAmount becomes required and validated as a currency (or at least numeric). So my plan is to dynamically add or remove validators. As a first step I tried

Scriptmager Bug : Forms Authentication + MasterPage = Javascript error
Hi There, I'm getting this annoying javascript error from the script manager ('syntax error on line 3') when I have a script manager on a master page and I'm using forms authentication. The error only occurs when you first load the website and you get redirected to the logon page. One you have logged in, or if you subsequently navigate to the logon page you do not get the error. I've been searching on this for days so any help or a work around would be appreciated. ~Brett ps: I have a zipped sample
