Thanks BenzOnly for your reply your page is basicaly what I want to do, but with a repeater cause the layout's more flexible. Hi,I want to use a repeater control together with a detailsview so that when I click on a row (or button in the row) in the repeater, that row will become the selected record for the detailsview. How do i maximize performance for a database driven website

Hi, I want to maximize performance of my database driven website. The database contains 10 tables with a maximum of 250 records per table per customer/user. I understand from what I've googled its best to create a dataset with all the tables when the customer logs in and to place the dataset in the cache memory. Hi MAK, you solved my problem in another post, but just as a matter of intrest when I tried to use the page.RegisterStartupScript it didn't appear as a member of the page class. I'm using Visual Studio 2003 Any ideas?

Thanks that seems like a good solution - have you used this method? cause other sites suggest this mega tag with a delayed redirect is not to reliable - I'll give it a try tomorrow. Once again thanks your help is much appreciated.

Thanks Mudassarkhan for your reply, I may not have been clear about when I want to delay redirect. I have one button to upload a file and a second button to redirect to the results page. I only want to delay the redirect if and when the second button is clicked, to ensure the offline process completes before loading the results page.
