  Did you try putting the popupcontrol in a template field in a gridview? Thats where I see the problem.

• PopupcontrolExtender doesn't work in IE 8

  The popupcontrolExtender doesn't work in IE 8 from what I can see. The control it applies to is always visible on the page, the extender doesn't seem to take effect at all. 2 questions: - Does anyone know a fix for this, a proper fix without having to tell users to use the compatability view setting in IE 8 - Does anyone know an equivalent jquery plugin that works the same way as the popupcontrolExtender? Thanks

  Dont panic, from what I see with jQuery its quite easy to pick up and some of the stuff (like animations) is very easy to use. The big library of plugins looks great too and the fact that you have a large community behind it.

• jQuery - is the ajax toolkit now redundant?

  As MS have officially announced support for jQuery does that make the Ajax toolkit redundant? I havn't seen anything new from the toolkit over the last year or so and I am guessing MS knew it was redundant. Only beginning to use jQuery myself over the last few days and I am impressed.

• Future of the Toolkit?

  We havn't had any new controls for the toolkit in a long time. Whats the future of the toolkit, are there more controls coming or are we dependent on 3rd parties building more controls for MS Ajax?

• Nested gridview editing..

  Hi, I have a gridview within an itemTemplate field of another gridview. I can't figure out how to set the inner gridview into edit mode and how to handle the row comman events. I have the inner gridview declared as ... < asp : GridView ID ="dgCommercialDetails" OnRowCommand ="dgCommercialDetails_RowCommand" runat ="server" AllowPaging ="false".... etc But in the corresponding "dgCommercialDetails_RowCommand" code behind event I don't how

• Multiple Update panels: Do I need triggers?

  Hi, I have multiple update panels on a page. They dont have any triggers as the updatemodes are set to "Always". Would it be better to define triggers for the update panels and set the updatemodes to "Conditional"? Does it have a performance affect if I don't do that? Thanks Niall
