Re: v1.0 BUG?: Unable to load the specified metadata resource. Scripts != Models
I also came accross the same error but my problem was a different one. I am using a seperate Class Library for my data access which has the Entities in it. I have a reference in my Web Project to the data class library, and when I tried to run my web project I got the same error about : Unable to load the specified metadata resource I discovered I had forgot to copy the Connection string from my data access Class library into my web project's web config.

Another bug - Not saving settings... is Visual Studio 2008 just as buggy?
Yet another problem, VWD isn't saving my settings. I tell it not to remind me I'm clearing masterpage content and setting it to custom; and I set VWD to use Inline CSS styling on table resizing, have to set these things everytime I open up WVD. Is it just me, should i think about re-installing VWD ? Did MS work on Visual Studio 2008 for a bit longer to iron out bugs or will it have the same problems as WVD express ?

Re: Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Bugs
Its a buggy b*stard. I'm only sticking with it cus of the support for .Net 3.5. Current list of bugs i've found: - SLOW AS HELL when it comes to making ANY changes in the dataset designer. - Resizing a control in a template field is bodgy. - Adding new rows/columns to tables with merged cells , the new column/row usually splits the merged cell rather than inserting a new column/row beside/below. - more to come!

Designer is bodgy!
When designing a page visually I find it hard to select a control in and outside of a Template Field while i'm in template edit mode. I've just been trying to increase the width of a text box but everytime i click on its edge it opens the text boxes Databind task window. Also it is sometimes very difficult to insert new rows and columns in the right place in a table. If I've got a couple of merged cells then it never lets me add a row / column in the right place, it normally tries to

Re: Very slow Save in Dataset designer
Thanks, but I disabled my virus sotware and its just as slow. It's not just when i Save , it's also when i create/update a query. Wondering if it's because I had Visual Studio 2008 beta 2 installed previously (now uninstalled) and it's looking for files there?

Cannot create Queries on DataTable in VS dataset designer
First I add a DataTable, then Add its first query, and I TICK 'Return DataTable' Method, and UNTICK 'Fill a Datatable' (I DON'T want a FILL method for any of the queries on this DataTable because I don't want the extra code which I won't use). When I add a second Query to my Table Adapter, TICK 'Return DataTable' and UNTICK 'Fill a DataTable' , name my Return a DataTable method, click NEXT Wizard Results: Generated SELECT statement, Generated Get Method
