Why is string.empty a public field and not a public property?
I not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but why would String.Empty be exposed as a public field and not a public property? Any ideas? This pattern is also found in Unit.Empty. I've tried searching the forums and google for the answer but it didn't return anything. Sorry if this question has already been answered! Thanks, Scott D.

User Controls and Image Paths
I have placed all my user controls in a folder called UserControls. The user controls use images from my image directory. When i build the use control the images work. (<img src="../images/image.gif">) but when i place them on the default page they are broken because the path should now be (<img src="images/image.gif">). Is there a way to get asp.net to update all the link and image paths for me? Here is my dir structure Images/ UserControls/ default.aspx Thank you

Re: Removing the _crl0 prefix
both the id and name are set on all controls. I think it is related to the fact that they are inside UserControls (?)

How to add an item to the Request type.
The pages in my asp.net web solution are going to inherit from a custom class that inherits from System.Web.UI.Page. I want to add some custom methods to request: eg: Request.EncrypetedQueryString[""]; Is there a way to do something like this? Scott

Response.Redirect with POST not GET action (SSO)
I am developing a single sign on service. Currently I have the Authentication Domain (eg Passport.com) sending the sign on ticket back using the QueryString (eg mysite.com?SignInTicket=045g4fd87d867ghd5). I would like to be able to send the value back as a form post The only way I know how is by have a go between page that just has a form that auto posts using javascript: <body onload=”submitForm()”> <form action=”mysite.com” method=”post”> <input type=”hidden” name=”” value=””>
