  Hi! Finally I found the problem. I edited the hosts file which had an entry for local host like ::localhost. I commented this line out and it started working.

  Hi! I have Windows Vista Home Premium Edition. I installed VWD 2008 and after creating a test.aspx, I tried to start the server. I got this same error. Horrible!!! It is a killer. On my machine it connects to port # 49716. I tired spending several hours, googling and tried all options. I could not get the server running. Any suggestions Thanks

• How to change column width in Gridview dynamically

  Hi! I am working on a small project which requires me to use .net. I am new to .NET. I did the following code. .... GridView1.DataSource = rdr GridView1.DataBind() So far so good. But after the data is bound I want to change the column width's. How do I change the column width in the program? Something like GridView1.Columns(0).ItemStyle.width = 300 I tried to put the above code in all the events like RowDataBound, DataBinding etc. It comes into the RowDataBound event for each row but when I do dim
