Re: Unable to Bind a CheckBox to an Oracle column
That might work if oracle had a boolean data type. I cannot find one. Lot of links saying there is not boolean table datatype in oracle. http://www.unix-girl.com/blog/archives/2005/05/why_doesnt_orac.html http://thinkoracle.blogspot.com/2005/07/oracle-boolean.html ...etc.

Unable to Bind a CheckBox to an Oracle column
The code below works great in SQL Server with a BIT column. How do you get it to work in Oracle? I've tried number(1), char(1)...etc but nothing works! Using Eval is no good becuse that breaks the Update. < asp : CheckBox ID ="cbxStatus" runat ="server" Checked =' <% # Bind("status") %> ' /> Always get this error: System.InvalidCastException: "Specified cast is not valid". Anyone know the trick to making this work with Bind ?

Re: Are the developers of ASP.NET Ajax stupid?
So it will not work from the bin folder and must be in the GAC? I noticed this in the release notes but did not see a reason given. Since I have FTP access only this is kind of a bummer. Also between all the added goodness of WSE, AJAX Beta, CTP...etc deploying the dlls and web.config changes is becoming a bit of a nightmare.

GridView / ObjectDataSource / DataReader problem
I have a GridView pointing at a DataReader via an ObjectDataSource . In the IDE the GridView will only let me add the Depth, RecordsAffected and IsClosed columns. I can manually edit the source and add the columns and everything works but IDE refuses to let me add in my own columns...is there a trick to making this work properly at design time?
