  • Re: How can I become Unmoderated?

And consider this. I along with other people do not need your community. The community need people. Inforcing such stricts rules pushed me into the LAMP world. Where interactions are seen as a good thing, without high horsed moderators. Your forum will not be missed.

Well as your policy seems to be rigid, and there is no one that have the ability to think and act as an individual I will make my choise. You keep saying that "helpers" and not rewarded, but that is just the thing, they are rewarded. You moderators being like me, I belive you all have a power trip in your sorry life. Finally you get to boss around people, tell who will get unmoedrated and when. What a power you hold. I am sick of the rules, and I am sick of this forum. Consider this my bye bye post

Is it a power trip? Beeing able to choose and decide who gets to post directly and who do not? ;-) I would be happy if someone would care to give me an answer of how long I will stay moderated. Really I have done no harm to no-one here.....

I think viewstate reduction can be done in 1.1 as well. I could be wrong, look what happend last time I tried to pull something out of memory:-) it's higher up in this very thread. I saw an article which I belive was actullay for a MySQL driven PHP cms, but it was my understanding that this could easily be done in .net to reduce database trips as well. Will look at the library tomorrow, before I take some days off from the hard life of being a student and go skiing. Easter break! Ah. Sun and hot

  • Dear Moderators

Are you reading this? Can I please become unmoderated? Beeing moderated is such a drawback when posting. It usually takes 3 hours plus before my posts are on the board, and often the debates have taken new directions by then. Pls consider doing this.

ErikVB: trond.rud: In USA alone, there is estimated 75 millions + users of internet that have dial up. Europe is in ever worst shape when it comes to xDSL or broadband. Not sure where you get your figures, USA ranks 19th overall in broadband penetration, after many European and Asian countries: (from http://www.websiteoptimization.com/bw/0601/ ) Cheers, Erik Took that one from memory, must be getting old, or could it a tumor? Well, your link just made my point stronger, now didn't it? Just because

Remember that when using tables for design, first the data most travel across the web to your page viewer. Then the screen most render the content. Often, not always will tables have a heavier markup to begin with, hence larger page size. Which leads to longer loading time/transfer time. Then the page render. And yes tables also takes longer time to render then divs, and this will happens on every page load on your site. With css the initial load will load the css file, then only load the markup

And I do behaive nice towards others on the forum. Really there are no reasson to have me moderated any longer. I miss a lot of good and importent discussions due to the fact that my posts arrives late all the time. If you should get a report saying I did something bad, which you will never recieve, you always have the choice
