Re: Menu Control Horizontal Divider between certain Items.
Thanks, it has been a while since I have looked at this, but between Dave and jmclej, this looks like a good solution. Thanks

Re: Production error: Base Class includes the field ScriptManger1...
In the end Vinija's Solution was correct. I was not able to make the 2.0 application work with the 1.0 AJAX libraries. However I did convert the application to 3.5, (as well update the Control toolkit to the latest 3.5 version), and that resolved the issue. It is still to bad that I was unable to get this working in 2.0, but at least now it works, and I found an excuse/reason to convert the app up to 3.5.

Re: Production error: Base Class includes the field ScriptManger1...
Thanks for responding. I made certain the reference was set to specific version = false, however that did not resolve the issue on the stage server. I also attempted in the 2.0 application to reference the 3.5 version of System.Web.Extensions on my local machine, however although I could see it, it was greyed out and unable to select it. I assume this is the case as this is a 2.0 application. I also attempted to change the Web.Config version setting on my local instance to 3.5 (I replaced all instances

Re: Production error: Base Class includes the field ScriptManger1...
Thanks for your response. Looking at IIS, properties for the Web site, the ASP.Net tab, the version is 2.0.507etc.

Production error: Base Class includes the field ScriptManger1...
I am getting an error in my stage environment that I am not getting in my local environment related to the ScriptManger and Ajax Extensions (for Asp.Net 2.0). I have an Asp.Net 2.0 application that utilizes the MS Ajax Control Extensions. My local instance has VS 2005 and 2008 installed, the stage server has the .Net framework 2.0 and 3.5 installed (it has a 3.5 app running on it). The error is: Parse Error Message: The base class includes the field "ScriptManger1", but its type (System

Re: Getting modified page text in codebehind
Yes, I started to look at the hidden field solution, as I did not see any other way. I like your solution of adding "HF" to the control name, saving having to pass two control names into the javascript function. I think this is the solution I will use. As a side note, I did wonder about the Ajax Check Box control, which is able to replace the Checkbox with images. I don't know how this control works, but wondered/briefly looked at using text instead of images, however I could not get

Re: Getting modified page text in codebehind
Thanks for answering. I do have runat="server" on the <a> tag, but am still not able to read the modified text using "lnkChangingText.InnerText". This doesn't work, I believe because the Viewstate is not updated. Any other ideas?

Getting modified page text in codebehind
(Sorry if this has been asked, but I have not been able to find an answer, although I don't know what to search on. ) I am modifying Text on a page via javascript, however I am not able to retrieve the modified text from Codebehind. I have tried creating a link (<a>), changing the text on client, and looking at the innerText property on postback. Of course when changing text on the client, the ViewState is not changed, so I do not really expect the Code behind to have the updated value

Re: CustomValidator in Gridview (itemtemplate): Server Side Validation not working
I got this to work. Not in the original application that was having the issue (as this is a very large page), but in a simplified version. Next I look at what is missing in my main application. I created a web page with an update panel containing a validation summary, and a simple gridview and a button. The gridview is populated by an XMLDataSource (for simplicity), and a column template containg two text boxes and a custom validator. The Custom validator is validated via code on the server side

CustomValidator in Gridview (itemtemplate): Server Side Validation not working
I have a Custom Validator in a Gridview (Item Row), with server side validation, however I am not able to fire the Server side events. Please reference http://forums.asp.net/t/1205910.aspx , where followed all of the steps to confirm the Custom Validator is setup. The control does not use validation groups and the calling button causes other validation events (outside the gridview) to fire. I have set ValidateEmptyText="true" and OnServerValidate="ServerValidateFunction". On debug
