Re: Identified bugs and fixes for the ClubSite Starter kit
This is the Extended Starter Kit I'm talking about. http://www.asp.net/downloads/starter-kits/extended-club/ It is not explicitly advertised as 3.5 version , but is new & improved and works real smooth with DotNet 3.5 framework and it's IDE. Many of the bugs mentioned in this thread are already resolved in this extended version. So you'd have no trouble getting up and running. Hope it helps.

Re: Identified bugs and fixes for the ClubSite Starter kit
Upgrading would be best. Just like Visual Web Developer FREE version of VS2005, there's one available as an equivalent of VS2008, but I think Vista or a 64-bit OS may be the pre-requisite for it (but I'm not sure...it's best to check) If not, you try running it on VS2005 and see what happens...I don't think it'll CRASH in a really bad way....maybe minor tweaks may be required.

Re: Identified bugs and fixes for the ClubSite Starter kit
I would suggest U go for the new ClubSite Starter kit...the one thats designed for VS2008 DotNet 3.5 Not only does it have less bugs (if any) but also has tons of other cool new features. So if U R already not invested in this Starter Kit...go for the new better one. Thanks

Re: Ajax -- Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System
I was facing a similar issue,as the code files were stored on a mapped location, not on my local machine. I moved the entire webapp folder to my local drive and it compiled beautifully ! Try this procedure to make sure that is really the only-problem, before investing hours to fix it.

Re: Layout bug
Just curious...why not just use VS2008s FREE Web Developer edition with it ? Plays well with Vista. Have tried it out myself, and AFAIK is fully backward compatible with your existing VS2005 code.

Re: How do i post my bug to this thread? Help I have trouble with the categories not updating how many ads are in each category
Hi Tinwistle, In order for us to troubleshoot your app, U'd need to shed some light on it's architecture...coz its a major custom job (not a typical starter kit) hence impossible to simulate at our end. First question.... Do the two apps Classifeds & Clubsite exist as separate apps (in subdomains) with shared membership provider and look-alike theme/skins? OR have U physically combined all code-files from Classifeds & Clubsite in to a single app and manually sorted out differences/discrepancies

Re: Identified bugs and fixes for the ClubSite Starter kit
zowens: I HAVE AN ISSUE TRACKER UP Previously it was said that the IssueTracker starterkit should be put online for this sort of thing... I can put it up if someone hasn't already gotten to it :) Hi Zowens, I take the liberty of giving the Green signal, as no one has replied to your proposal yet. Please go ahead and put up an issue tracker kit and let the members know about it. I assume it will be at no-cost to users, and I hope U realize it will be a very long term commitment. But U can always tap
