Hi i have similiar issues .net 2.0 eg setting timeout to more than 30 but users still get kicked out when running app on iis i beleive that the machine.config is overriding the web config, i have changed the settings in iis and web.config and it is still an issue, I have manually set the timeout in the first page the user hits when logged in Session.Timeout = 60; and this seems to work.... try manualy / programtically set the setting you need to overide machine config if this is the issue eg Session

hi, I am using visual studio and got this same error I am using a master page as a template - I used a template from microsoft, the master page was plain html and the <head> element was defined as jsut <head>. I changed the <head> element to <head runat=server> and all is fine - this is fine because the tree control must seem to reside within another asp control and in this instance it is a head element. this is a basic asp.net page - hope this helps <% @ Page Language

hi guys try this this: aspnet_regiis -ga "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE" -ga = grant access it worked for me.
