• Re: ReorderList - Is there a way to persist everthing on a button click rather than after each drag and drop?

  I am interested as well. I am binding reorderlist to a dynamic datatable. I can't get the reorderlist to persist the new order. After a "submit" to capture the new ordering it always goes back to the original order.

  Frank Tse: Hi folks, I found a potential issue that might be the cause of the problem you guys are seeing Please go to the following registry key and check if you have the values as below: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSEnvCommunityContent\ContentTypes\VSTemplate] "ClassName"="VSContentInstaller.VSTemplateInstallerPage" "DisplayName"="#VSTemplateContentDisplayName" If they are missing, please add the values and launch the ASPNETAtlas.vsi file again, and see if it is working for you now

  Tried Windows Explorer and didn't find any option to view the contents of a VSI file.

  Thanks. Still no luck. Tried renaming .vsi to .zip and still cannot read or view the contents. Tried on two seperate PCs and no luck. Are there any other .vsi viewer/extractor tools? I wish Microsoft would offer a zip version in addition to the vsi. Sounds like vsi is a mixed bag at best. Leaves the rest of us out of luck.

• Atlas VSI installer error: String cannot have zero length

  Hi, I downloaded the January CTP release/vsi installer. When I double click ASPNETAtlas.vsi I get the following dialog box error: ************* A problem occured while running the installer. Please contact the content author for problems with content. Error message: String cannot have zero length ************* Any advice would be appreciated.

  I started using the new Web Application projects add-on too. I am very glad to have this coming from VS 2003. I too notice that the user controls are no longer drag/drop capable. Also, style sheet drag/drop appears to not work also. Looking forward to the next update. Thanks.
