Sharepoint site is not like a normal website I think you can't open it this way you can attach the debugger to debug your own code only.

your application is working well on the server because your application server and database server for sure in the same network so there is no delay. while accessing the remote database from your machine may seems slow becuase of your connection or network.

the problem is that you're using master page in your site and you have content (the linementioned above) outside your content control. make sure you include all the content in <asp:Content
