  • Re: Identified bugs and fixes for the ClubSite Starter kit

I too have just started fresh with the kit from scratch again after months without working with it and spent the last two hours sifting through the fixes and refreshing my memory. As big (or maybe tedious would be more accurate) a challange it is, I'm really grateful for all the work put that's been put it to helping others. As one of those others I'd like to say THANK YOU! keep on posting, Dravend

  • Re: web.config changes from localhost to hosting site

Hi guys, I was having the same problem. It has been a couple of weeks since I've had a chance to play around with this kit. Thankfully it's a long weekend here in Canada and I got to spend some time today trying to get this to work. I too would get the error for dbo.GetRandomAds...something and tried to apply the fixes the patient root of altering the stored procedures etc. but I'm very new to this and was unsure what I should and shouldn't change. Not to mention the time because not knowing any

  • Re: Cannot publish Classfieds

Hi guys, well I'm not quite up and running yet but I'm getting closer. I have tried both with 2000 and 2005 databases as my hoster (webhost4life) provides the opportunity to choose. I first created database(currently 2005) then ran included scripts plus aspnet_regsql.exe next in the web dot config changed < connectionStrings > < add name = " classifiedsConnection " connectionString = " Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\classifiedsdb.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User

  • Re: Admin Account

Hey Amendes, I'm fairly new too. But I can help you with this one. When you first open VWD and create your first site with the starter kit you get the welcome page. If at this point you hit Ctrl F5 a build will start using the built in local server. What's happened is it automatically generated an admin role you have to create the admin account. It's really easy, just go up to Website(between view and build) in the drop down menu choose ASP.NET configuration and up will pop another window from the

  • Re: Bug#5 Error on Cancelling out of Create new event

Hey Bugslayer, I have 3 events all were pending. 1 April, 1 May, 1 June. Same goes with the locations list as they're tied to the three different events. I'll create some previous events and see what happens. Thanks, Dravend

  • Re: Bug#5 Error on Cancelling out of Create new event

Thanks Bugslayer! tried it worked. I'm new to this, but thanks to contributors like yourself I'm learning and getting ever closer to being able to lend some input of my own. I noticed after implementing your fix that I landed at /Events_view.aspx?EventID= which is great except my links to previous and next don't work. Which is not surprising, I'm having the same problem with previous and next location links, I'm just started working on it with little success but I'll keep pluggin away somethings

  • Re: Application Error

Hi, I'm not sure who your hoster is but if they like mine provide only one database then you can do what I did. I found a posting, hopefully this will help you. Although this states not to use the wizard of the asp_regsql it worked for me. Have fun, Dravend Hello all!! We have received many questions as to how to install the ASP.NET 2.0 starter kits (Club / Personal) on our server. Below is a unofficial process that i used to install the kit. Requirements: VS.NET 2005 or VWD 2005 SQL Client (Query
