  • DNN 3.2.0 Bug - Adding Parent Portals takes 60+ seconds or fails completely

Hello, I have DNN 3.2.0 installed and I am having a huge problem. When I log in as HOST and go to add a new portal, it simply hangs. It used to take 30 seconds to add a portal back when I had 500 portals, then it started taking 45 seconds when I had 800 portals.. now it simple and straight up hangs. I currently have over a thousand portals. I open a new browser, log in as HOST, Host->Portals->Add new, enter all the info, and then the page simply hangs. If I check the Hosts->Portals page

  • Database connection error after moving SQL servers

Hello, I moved my DNN to a SQL server other than the localhost. I simply detached the database, copied to the new server, and reattached it and created a new user/pass. On the web server, I have changed the Server=x.x.x.x and the user/pass information, however, when attempting to start DNN up, it gives me the generic assembly version security permission denied error. Any idea? My connection string is perfectly legit. I can cut/paste the values right into the query analyzer and run things just fine

  • Re: BUG - Cannot add a new portal!!!

Also, the server isn't experiencing any high CPU or memory, so I don't think it is a resource issue. Anybody have any ideas? Thx!

  • Re: BUG - Cannot add a new portal!!!

I have 14,819 pages (tabs). Would this make some sort of impact when new sites are created? Also, the automatic tasks.. this doesn't seem to coincide with the problems I'm experiencing. If I go to Host->Portal->Add New Portal, I enter all the info, and it hangs and does nothing. It used to hang for 30 seconds, then later it did 45 seconds.. now it hangs forever. I am sure it has something to do with me having over 1,000 parent portals (all are parent portals). Anybody else having this problem

  • Re: BUG - User Registration fails, goes to homepage instead.

I checked, and it is apparent to me that there is a bug in DNN. Check how the Register link is constructed... nowhere in the Register link does it actually have the Register aspx, versus all register links that do have it. So it looks like whatever in DNN that takes the [REGISTER] and turns it into a link is having a problem, hmm. The powerbar doesn't affect it, it is just a little change. Also, there are over a thousand portals that work fine, however, about 50 of mine have these wierd Register

  • Re: Why do small DNN errors always crash portal?

Doesn't custom error only show you a full error report? Does it really stop the whole portal from crashing?

  • Re: Help: Solpart error on Account Login Module

jhenning wrote: Open up the solpartmenunavigation.vbproj file found in that folder. Compile it. And copy it to your dotnetnuke bin folder. Or grab that dll from the 3.2.1 which already contains this fix, or simply update your entire site to 3.2.1. Thanks, I'll steal the DLL : ) I wonder if there are patch notes anywhere that list changes from versions?
