  • Vista and Visual Studio 2005

For people who might be running into the problem below. I have posted a solution that will get you up and running. For those of you who are running Windows Vista and VS 2005, you will need to install VS 2005 SP1 in order for to see the new projects listed in the new projects dialog. I don't know why this is but it would install fine without SP1 But I would not get the dialog inside of vs2006 until I installed SP1

  • Re: Display Loading Image while Postback calls

I can say first hand it would take no more then an hour to make your whole project use atlas, no mater what your project is. and you can use it on one page and one page only if you like. fast easy and doesn't take that much effort at all.

  • Re: you can download asp.net 1.1 but can you download asp.net 2?

You could always make a cd with .net version 2 and windows updates for offline use, Please check out the following links Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (x86) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&DisplayLang=en Windows Updates for offline use. Please note this is not an official Microsoft release but a 3rd party off line software pack that installs all the security updates up until July. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. http://www.neowin.net/forum/index

  • Re: ASP.NET site in VWD

If the project file is there just double click on the project file or if you have a bunch of uncompiled aspx files you can go into VWD and create a new website and then drag and drop the website files into the solution. From there you have the full power of VWD.

  • Re: Developing over RDP

I also have a dedicated dev machine that I leave running 24/7. I find it really nice to develope over rdp. I'll list some of the reasons I like using rdp. Just close the rdp window and all your works still there. You can go to any machine and pick up where you left off. If your on a lan or a high speed connection you will not notice anything different. You can leave documentation open and continue reading/writing from when you left it. thats a pretty short list but as you can see the above points
