• Running 2.0 at root, Want to Run 1.1 in a Subdirectory (Virtual Directory)

  Ack! The subdirectory is running the 1.1 framework, but it keeps trying to inhereit stuff from the root's web.config, which, since the root runs 2.0, isn't compatible and it throws up all over itself. Basically, I've developed a website using 2.0, and I'm trying to use Community Server in a Virtual Directory. Can anybody point me in the right direction here?

  Wow, this is a bizzare one. Same situation, using master pages, and when I try and edit a file without the master page open, visual studio pronounces that all of my <asp: tags are invalid :-/ Oh well, a workaround is a workaround I suppose. Thanks again ASP.Net forums / google

• Having trouble getting custom control to process events

  I've got something of a pickle going on here. Essentially, I have IIS and ASP.NET redirecting all 404's to /index.aspx /index.aspx the determines from the requested url what content control to load into a placeholder. ie, if the url was /members/1004 (which doesn't actually exist), index.aspx knows to go load the member details control and set it's memberID to 1004. herein lies the problem, I can load and display the control, but the control doesn't recieve any events upon postbacks.
