  • Re: DNN 4 logging users out prematurally.

This is getting stranger as I keep tweaking DNN4 to make it work. I installed it no problems with the install. I then setup child portals. I created a user called "jbates"gave her admin role. She is unable to add a new web page. When she click create it goes right to the login prompt. The weird part is I created a login called "admin" on the same child portal and gave it admin role. This was done after the jbates creation. I can add a page with this login on the child portal. The same goes for the

  • Re: DNN 4 - Losing Forms Authentication A Lot

It is not resolved on my end. But All I was able to try was the web.config section try. I took that back out because of the javasscript errors I started to get. I am pushing a req through to get VS2005 so that I can further test code and to try your suggestion. I am with you I don't know why there has not been any more posts than ours. I have looked extensivly for help on this and yours is the closest I came up with. I installed the PA's but do you know how to get the source version installed. I

  • Re: DNN 4 - Losing Forms Authentication A Lot

Thanks for replying to my post relating to this...( http://forums.asp.net/1116041/ShowPost.aspx ) I tried the web.config and it basically gives javascript errors when I update. I wonder if this is related to <pages enableEventValidation="false" /> fix I had to apply to get rid of another error. Just a guess... My question is are the good developers at DOTNETNUKE addressing a fix for this. It is odviously an error that prevents me from going live with it. Others are having the same issue also

Has anyone else had this problem? I have checked the configurations and nothing resolves this issue. It seems to only logout regular or admin users and not the host account.

  • DNN 4 logging users out prematurally.

When I setup an admin user and log them into the portal. I will have them add a new page and when they click update the portal logs them out. If I login as HOST I am able to perform the same functions the admin user did without any problems. The host stays logged in all the time. It is any user of the child portals that gets logged out by DNN4. If I create the same user with same permissions on the parent portal everything works as it should and they stay logged in. I can't seem to find a sollution

  • Re: DNN 4.0 Module upload issue

Nice the requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" fixed my problem also. I did manage to figure out the other problem. It shows up in a few posts as well. I thought I would post the solution here also. In the page level options of the web.config file add enableEventValidation="false" . This was a last minute add to the DOTNET 2.0 release. In the Web.Config file locate this section and add enableEventValidation="false". <!-- page level options --> <pages validateRequest="false" enableViewStateMac

I have installed a new DOTNETNUKE portal system on a Windows 2003 server with DOT NET 2.0 of course. Everything went smooth in the installation. I am thinking I have missed a configuration but I cannot find anything in google or the documentation... Thanks in advance... ERROR: Invalid postback or callback argument.
