  • Re: Sv: Re: How to change encoding to iso-8859-x in webconfig?

I'm using DNN 3.2.2 and the UTF formatting is now in SendBulkEmail.vb I can change the entry to Default, but I haven't a clue what to do with the Source package once I've done that. Is there a relativbely straight-forward way to yurn the Source into an Install package? Can I use this newly created package to over-write a current installation - without losing all the Users currently in there? Or all the info on the website? Regasrds Brian

    I'm a neophite at editing web.config and I'm not sure what I did wrong, but it didn't work for me. I took: < globalization culture ="en-US" uiCulture ="en" requestEncoding ="UTF-8" responseEncoding ="UTF-8" fileEncoding ="UTF-8" /> <! --<globalization culture="en-US" uiCulture="en" fileEncoding="iso-8859-1" requestEncoding="iso-8859-1" responseEncoding="iso-8859-1"/>-- > <! -- page level options -- > and changed it to: <! --<globalization culture="en-US" uiCulture="en

  • DNN 3.1.1 Newsletter Mail at JodoHost - Cannot Have SMTP Entry

I'm testing BulkReg3.5 and it doesn't support DNN 3.2 or 4.0 zero yet, so I've got a system using DNN 3.1.1 at JodoHost. I've found an interesting quirk that may be related to DNN or JodoHost, I'm not sure. Once I got the site up yesterday, I tested the Newsletter to a few test Users that all ended up back at me. That worked fine. Then before I live tested, I remembered I hadn't set the SMTP mail server, so I went into Host>System Settings and set it to mail.mydomain.com I tried the Test button

  • Re: For the Newsletter Module - Getting Selected Role group to work

This first install of DNN 3.2 that is not working is at JodoHost. Prior to this, I was working with a developer at SeekDotNet with DNN 4.0 That one did not work either. Over the last couple of days I've set up a system at ResellerChoice. I installed DNN 3.2. For info, this one is working fine. I'm going to go back to JodoHost and delete everything and try another install to see if that works. Everything else works there, so I'm thinking there is some minor configuration setting on the server that

My host support staff are helping, and they don't see any server problems. I've let them in, and they can see that the mail does not leave the Newsletter module. Mail to xxx.domain.com do go out and show up in the logs. Mail to other domains do not show up. There are no error reports, no mail in the the drop or badmail directories or in the queue directory. From what they can see, the script is not firing the emails. I'll report this as a bug, if I can.

  • Re: For the Newsletter Module - Getting Selected Role group to work

I went to dnsstuff.com and checked all 3 mail servers. They are all clean. I still cannot get asynchronous, synchronous, rich text or basic text messages to go out to outside domains. The emails out will go to the same domain, but not to another domain on the same host, another domain with another host, my ISP or hotmail.com The system keeps reporting that all emails have gone. Getting a bit frustrating.

I will check them. It seems strange that the Newsletter module could send to those addresses if they are in the List box, but cannot if it is selecting them through the Role checkbox. Still, I'll check; never hurts.

  • For the Newsletter Module - Getting Selected Role group to work

I've isntalled DNN 3.2 and everything seems fine. (Adde4d note as of 22 Nov 02 - appears to be Firefox problem; see subsequent Reply) If I put a list of emails in the List box in the Newsletter module, they all go out properly. I've also registered several test Users with different emails on 4 domains, one is the DNN site itself. When I select the Registered Users role to send out a Newsletter, the system reports emails were sent to all Users, but the only one that gets it is the DNN site domain

  • ISP Settings - Table and SP Ownership Set to DB User Name not 'dbo' (DNN 3.1.1)

(Note as of 20 Nov 05 - it was a web.config error; the dbo entry at the end had been changed to DB_User. Very bad!) I'm trying to set up a DNN site at a MS-certified hosting facility I've been using for a couple years. They've run the install scrip for me, and the site comes up fine. However, extra modules I add don't function properly. The free store and a BulkReg module examples. It seems the initial setup isn't exactly right. It appears to be a Table and SP ownership issue. The base install creates
