Re: Folder management in AD
oh! so you want to do file-management. I 've not come across such a scenario except for logon/logoff scripts. You might want to build in group policies: like have an AD group with read rights on the folders. I'll be curious on the solution to this case.

Re: Folder management in AD
If you have the necessary AD permissions, you should be able to Rt click the folder and set the security settings.

Re: ldap binding md5
I would suggest put in a login control. It is fairly easy OR create a form with userid and password as input and use this set of credentials to bind to LDAP. Looks like you are binding to LDAP. For AD your uid s/be samaccountname.

Re: Password reset - totally lost
Most probably you cannot impersonate an account for such purposes: at least I have not seen one and this is not the "best practice". You can surely go the virtual directory way. You can also ask for such "service account" from the AD administrators. This account needs explicit rights to update/set the user passwords across the domain. Once you get a set of credeitials all you need to do is plug this into the directory entry:resetEntry.

Re: Want to get logged in user information - but don't have password
Your question is confusing: what do you want to check ? . Per the previous reply once the user is authenticated by AD, you do not need the user's password. You need to use the service account to get other AD attributes.

Re: How to set maxpagesize for individual account
You do not apply pageSize for the service account. You apply the pageSize to the directorysearcher object. The service account is to only read. Let us see some code.

data table return from a db access layer
.NET 2.0 web site with SQL 2005. .aspx and .cs with a data accecss layer compiled as .DLL and added to bin. There is a method in the DLL-Data access layer that returns a dataTable. This as 2 calculated columns(numeric values). This table is "received" in the .cs and rendered in a datagrid: bound column. For some bizzare reason the .cs file recives the calculated colums as 0 or 1 or 100.I have no idea why ? I have a colsone program to which I have added the DLL class file and when I see

Re: How to set maxpagesize for individual account
Whatever tool you are using to query: AD you can set the max page size. when I query AD using the default ADSI tool, there is filter options where I can set the "Maximum number if items displayes in the folder". Hope this helps
