Re: "Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory."
I am sure this is resolved by now but still here are some more.... issues The folder is C:\inetpub\wwroot and hosted in IIS as Default Web Site Had pqrst.aspx inside folder ABC and a button calls server.transfer() with link as "~/abcd.aspx" this is when I get the error. But it works if both abcd.aspx and pqrst.aspx are on the root. Again... without any changes it also works if it is hosted on a new virtual directory inside Default Web Site in a new physical folder inside \wwroot or outside

DropDownlist selected and disabled by javascript not retaining selected index
I am trying to set the value of the second dropdownlist using javascript on the event created by the first dropdownlist. Then disable the second dropdown. On postback the the second dropdownlist retains the value selected by Javascript but not if the dropdown list is disabled. I need this because I want to select and assign the second dropdown based on the first dropdown then use this value in the postback. The code is given below function changeOps() { document.form1.DropDownList2.selectedIndex

Javascript, dropdown menu layer gets displayed behind server controls
I am using a Javascript dropdown menu on my page. The drop down is dynamically added during page load an it works fine. The only issue is that, if there are any dropdownlist, listbox controls, the javascript menu is displayed behind the controls.

How to use sessions for temporary store that is editable too, before making a submit
I am designing a page that would post a worklist. Eg. List of Emp IDs to work on. I am adding the emp ids one after another and it is collected in a session arraylist. As soon as it is added it also gets displayed in a label. Then I loop through the session variable and insert it into the database when submit button is clicked. What I need is a functionality to edit the value inside the session arraylist if i add an incorrect value. It should be graphical, the user clicks on an incorrect emp id and

Re: Troubleshooting the login control? (work around)
I also have a similar issue. The login control works fine with VWD. But it will not login when deployed in IIS. I know it can access the database as it returns the correct security question when I cick Forgot Password. I am using Windows XP in a network(part of a domain), IIS 5.1. Out of curiosity I deployed it (exact copy) on someone else's Windows 2003 machine and it is working there. What could be the problem in the XP machine then? There must be some bug somewhere....... it can access the database
