Re: Sitemap Menu Control VERY Slow
I tried both of these and did not find any difference in performance. I guess I'm not sure how this menu works. Do the individual events (onmouseover, onmouseout, etc.) call their respected methods on the server? If so, does that mean that each time I hover over something its making a server call? What/Where is this "/WebResource.axd?d=mumbojumbo" file? I am using a master page, but the menu is in a user control I added to the master. Would it be more beneficial to try putting it directly in the

Re: Sitemap Menu Control VERY Slow
I, too, have this problem! I have tried removing all styles and that seemed to make no difference in the performance. I have found that some pages displaying a lot of data (GridViews with lots of rows, etc.) really slow it down even more. And I don't even have 50 links! I do hope that I don't have to create this menu by hand, but if the SiteMap and Menu tools don't perform, I may move to something else.

caching a usercontrol containing a menu
I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I cannot seem to get my control to cache correctly. The one and only thing contained in this usercontrol is the new Menu control. I applied some styles and bound it to the SiteMapDataSource (xml file containing all the pages for the site). I then dropped this onto a MasterPage and it worked sweet. However, when I tried to cache it, the Menu works the first time, but after that it goes bonkers with the styles and all the scripts are jumbled up. Any ideas?

I, too, have run into this problem. Have you had any luck?
