Re: Using the ASP.Net AJAX library without .Net framework
Sounds good. I guess for my non-ASP.NET projects, I'll look at jQuery or Prototype for solutions. Was hoping to use a Microsoft product, but I'm flexible.

Re: Using the ASP.Net AJAX library without .Net framework
What about non UI components? I've seen documentation on creating non UI components. I'm interested in creating an ajax component that will track user activity on my website. Would I be better off using another ajax library to do this? Or would I benefit from using the ASP.NET AJAX library?

Using the ASP.Net AJAX library without .Net framework
Here's a silly question. I want to use the ASP.NET AJAX javascript library, without the .Net framework. The problem is, most tutorials I see, require the scriptManager tag in the page. Can someone give me some direction on how to use the .Net AJAX library on a server that does not have the .Net Framework? thanks, Bill

Background Image breaks RoundedCorners extender Help
I've created a small .jpg image and set a panel's BackImageUrl property to use this image. The problem is that if I also use the RoundedCorners extender on this panel, it no longer applies the rounded corners to the panel. If I remove the BackImageUrl property, the panel is rounded properly. This also applies if I set the background-image property in CSS. Any idea why this is happening? Any suggestions? I just need a panel that has a gradient background color and also rounded corners...

Re: DeclarativeCatalogPart Problem: Checked property True If webpart added?
Well, I've tried Overriding several methods in the CatalogPart class and I cannot seem figure out which one actually renders the checkbox and the label next to it. I even removed the calls to MyBase from the overriden methods, no luck . Bill

Re: DeclarativeCatalogPart Problem: Checked property True If webpart added?
Unfortunately the DeclarativeCatalogPart is a non-inheritable class. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-US/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.webparts.declarativecatalogpart.aspx Any other suggestions?

DeclarativeCatalogPart Problem: Checked property True If webpart added?
When my DeclarativeCatalogPart renders on the page, I need to check if the user has already added each one of the parts listed. If he already has a part added to the page, I need a check mark placed in the checkbox that is generated when the DeclarativeCatalogPart is loading. Currently, I see NO way to access this elusive checkbox. Any ideas? I have tried writing a class that inherits from CatalogPartChrome and CatalogPartZone, but I have yet to see any method that will help. thanks.
