Re: How do I setup the database with this starter kit?
Hi Eric, I am going to install this kit on my machine at home on both SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 Express editions, perhaps you can post the errors you have seen on your screen here and I will see if I can assist you. I should be putting out a little document on how to within a week or so.

Re: How should we begin? - Let's roll out the Barrel
I will install it on a VS2008 SQL express and XP Pro box , we shall see what that results in. I will post the url when it is up and running, should be by middle of next week or sooner.

Re: How should we begin? - Let's roll out the Barrel
If anything I could set up the initial Test bed on my server at home and create a site using the current download from CodePlex and document step by step how to get it up and running. Of course that is a home based server and not something hosted on a .Net Host so it might be a bit different, anyways I will see if I can actually install and have it up and running on one of my servers at home. I decided to stick with Windows as I doubt any shop will run MONO as the production development IDE.

Re: Time to roll out the barrel.
To me it would seem logical that we have a clear and concise action plan and also a solid base that actually installs and works as advertised before tackling anything else. I would venture to say that it would be best if a point of ORIGIN or BASELINE be set as one would set a Stake in Ground so to speak. So for me the #1 thing would be an easy set of Install instructions and a common documentation base to start with above all else.

Re: Interested in an updated Club Starter Kit?
Hi Joseph, Well It might be a good reason to start learning my Linux all over again, I do like the Ubuntu distro because it does not remind me one bit of my first experience with Red Hat 5.0 where there was so much promise but so many things were nightmarish back then. I will have to go out and get mono installed and take a look at how this project would be managed under that context. Oh yes and of course off to CodePlex and ge me an account. :)

Re: Interested in an updated Club Starter Kit?
What is the baseline for this project? Are you going with the 3.0 or 2.0 ? I didnt like the DAL layer and that is one of the reasons I dropped back down to release 2.0 I am also thinking of trying out the MONO on UBUNTU, I wonder if that would work as a viable development platform as well.

Re: Interested in an updated Club Starter Kit?
Like I said, I am willing to help with the code just not to the detriment of my life and family. I learnt that lesson the hard way. :)
