  Thanks Donovanij, I was able to get ur code to work. Worked perfectly and then I modified my code using the RegisterStartUpScript and the GetMap was executed. Thank U for taking the time to put that together. BUT now I am getting a strange error when the map.ImportShapeLayerData(veLayerSpec, onFeedLoad), 1; executes. The error causes a WIndows Internet Explorer error msg box with following: Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://localHost/MyApplication/default.aspx Operation aborted

  Yes. To add more detail: The call needs to be made from the codeBehind default.aspx.vb, i.e. in vb. I was able to execute Me.body.Attributes.Add("onload", String.Format("GetMap()")) ok , before I added the masterPage. Pauley

  Danny, thanks for responding. That's for the suggestion. I Placed the code at the bottom of the content code and it blew up Internet explorer. Message was something like Error ... cannot open the internet site. Thanks, Pauley

• Need to execute Function in masterPage

  I have the following function: function GetMap() { in content area of Default.aspx which is: < asp : Content ID ="Content4" ContentPlaceHolderID ="content" Runat ="Server"> that I need to execute from the default.aspx.vb button click event code: Me .Master.Attributes.Add( "onload" , String .Format( "GetMap()" )) The line above executes but nothing happens. Is there a better method to cause the GetMap() to execute? I am using VWD express 2008

• Adding button causes "state information is invalid for this page and might be corrupted."

  Have aspx page with code behind(VB) that causes above error when a button with click is added to page. This error is followed by message to use debug: "The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:," with info on setting debug which is set true. There is no code in button_click in the vb code behind aspx.vb, just the empty sub as follows: Protected Sub Button1_Click

  Steven, thank u for responding. I left out a very important part. The question should have been: Can I use sqlServer 2005 and 2008 with VWD 2008 sp1? It was unclear reading the sp1 info on sql. Thanks Pauley

  Preston was good enough to respond that I can connect my sql 2005 db's ok. BUT My ISP is not yet supporting sql2008 so ... if I connect my 2005 db's to vwd 2008 sp1, are the db's converted to sql 2008 ? If so, I have to change ISP. A more specific question may be .. will vwd 2008 sp1 connect to both sql 2005 and sql 2008 ? Thanks for any help Pauley
