Re: Custom Profile fields not accessible
I am clueless as to why Profile classes are available in the "Web Site" template but not in the "Web Application" template. Off the cuff I would think that the "Web Application" templates would be derived from the "Web Site" templates. But aparently not. I wish that someone with greater insite and insider information than I have would clue us in on the whys and wherefores surroundng this mystery.

Re: Custom Profile fields not accessible
Hi All, I hope that I can help. I have spent too much time trying to get Profile code when using a "Web Application" template. If someone reads this and perceives that I might be missing something please bloviate on your perspective. I would like to hear it! Now back to the point. It appears to me that the "Web Site" template creates the Profile oblects but not the "Web Application" template. It is not possible! It doesn't matter what I put into the Web.Config. While

Re: Web Application Projects and the ProfileCommon NOT working
In website projects ProfileCommon is automatically generated but that is not so (what on earth were MS developers thinking?) in Web Applications.
Does this mean that a developer cannot access "ProfileCommon" in a WebApplication project or is there a workaround?

Re: FormView formatted as table
Hi, I am having a the same problem as Popsovy. Getting a FormView lookin right is a bunch of work with three independent templates to get synchronized. That is great for prototype stuff but when it gets to making the page look pretty it is a bunch of work. I have resolved to ditching the FormView approach and doing the direct coding and bypassing Databinding rather that do all of the work. But that is not so good either, I lose a lot of functionality that is built in with the FormView. Is the FormView

Re: css changes affect design but not Runtime -- What could be happening???
Lee, Yes that is true. the reference to the css file were in the master page. The way that you explained what might be going on sounds plausible. That is very likely what is going on. Thanks a bunch for your support and direction. It is working again now. Les
