Re: Suggestions on Revision Control Software?
I would suggest looking at Vault from SourceGear http://www.sourcegear.com

Re: Debugging DotNetNuke
Very helpful. Thanks. Is there a way to get more information (by default) in the exception log (Log Viewer). One of the most common problems I find is missing assemblies (as I move from one environment to another). Would be nice to just get a message somewhere that referenced file XYZ.DLL was missing.

Re: Custom spring break skin.
Though I can't help build it (I have no design skills), I can help fund it. I'll put $50 in the pot (payable via PayPal) if you want to create something for the community and distribute it. I tihnk the skin would be really cool (and we can use all the skins that are professional and original that we can get).

Page Not Found (404) Error on All Links
I have a local Windows XP environment running DNN 3.1.1 When I have friendly URLs on, I get a 404 error (page not found) on all page links (and thereby cannot even logon to DNN). Turning off friendly URLs (manually in the database) fixes this problem. I need to have friendly URLs turned on. Anyone know what might cause this issue? This is working correctly in some of my environments -- its just this one that manifests the problem. All help is appreciated.

Re: "Page cannot be found (404)" error on all page links.
Did anyone ever figure out ths problem? I have a Windows XP environment that manifests this exact problem (i.e. 404 on all links if I have friendly URLs on). I need to leave friendly URLs on because a few of our custom modules require it. All help is appreciated.

Re: Quickly Debugging "External Component Has Thrown An Exception" errors
Thanks for your response. Its not a general problem, but only occurs with a specific module (internally developed) in a specific environment. I was curious as to if there were any third-party tools (free or commercial) that would intercept ASP.NET exceptions and provide more detail. I'm guessing the problem is likely very simple, but just have no good way to debug it on the host/remote machine.

Debugging the dreaded "External Component Has Thrown An Exception" error
In recent versions of DNN (3.1.1 and above), it seems that even the most trivial of errors provides the generic "External component had thrown an exception" errors in DNN. This includes trying to use assemblies with a missing dependency, invalid method calls, etc. Does anyone know of a way to get more detailed information (by default) when these kinds of exceptions occur? It seems that there should be better information available somewhere. The log viewer doesn't show anything either. I believe older
