Re: Permission problems on freshly installed system
So waht exactly does aspnet_regiis -i do. I solved my problem by giving the user ASPNET NTFS rights to the project folder in My Documents\Visual Studio\Projects\My Project. When I would run aspnet_regiis -i, does that do the same?

Permission problems on freshly installed system
Hello, I have just installed a new system from scratch with Windows XP (SP2) and Visual Studio 2005 Professional (SP1). I have gotten many errors in the last hours. First of all, I have had to grant the ASPNET account access to the IIS metabase, something I have never had to do before. Otherwise I got a "Mutex could not be created" error. Has there been a change recently in Windows or Visual Studio that this happens now? What is a mutex? Also, if I point the default website of IIS to a new folder

Re: How to resolve "Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException" issue
@jkuhlz and all others: I use the built in SqlMembership and SqlRoleProviders and had constant parsererrors. By removing the cacheroles in cookies I no longer have the parsererrors. That was obscure... Thanks!

Re: Option Explicit, Option Strict, and Naming Conventions.
I found some more guidelines, they're from Microsoft Developer Network, MSDN . And here is another set of guidelines . Now I posted the second one because of the previous poster. In this post we see so called Hungarian notation, from the last link (msdn) Hungarian notation is the practice of including a prefix in identifiers to encode some metadata about the parameter, such as the data type of the identifier. Also from the last link: Do not use Hungarian notation. previous poster also gave an example

Re: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation
Disable the ajax for a moment (EnablePartialRendering="false" on the scriptmanager).

Re: Content Management - Compliance Tracking
For the content, you can use the database. For the templates etc. you could try a version control solution like Subversion.
